Armand Strainchamps was born in Dudelange (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) in 1955. In 1978 he entered the Académie Royale des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles and in 1979 the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre.
